Powers John's Lane 12 Year Old Irish Whiskey
70cl/46% This expression celebrates the origin of the Powers whiskey tradition and provides a glimpse of the whiskey style that made Powers famous. Using a pot still distillate which is true to the original style of Johnâ€™s Lane, the whiskey has been matured for not less than 12 years, mainly in first fill American bourbon casks, with a small contribution of distillate which has been matured in Oloroso sherry butts. The result is a Single Pot Still whiskey of outstanding flavour and complexity which provides a fitting tribute to the spiritual home of one of Irelandâ€™s most loved whiskeys. TASTING NOTES Nose - An abundance of earthy aromas, leather, tobacco with layers of charred wood, dark chocolate and treacle toffee. Taste - Full bodied spice front followed by vanilla, honey and dried apricot. Finish - Lingering honey sweetness on toasted oak.
Jameson Irish Whiskey
70cl/40% Jameson Irish Whiskey is distilled three times to deliver exceptional smoothness. Triple distillation is what makes us unique to American Whiskeys, which are typically only distilled once, and Scotch whiskies, which are usually distilled twice. This tradition began in 1780 with the Great Master Distiller John Jameson, who worked out that three distillations was best for his Jameson Irish Whiskey. Jameson Irish Whiskey is triple distilled to deliver twice the smoothness. But there is a little more to this precise craft, it's also about getting the perfect balance right. The balance between just the right amount of malted and un-malted barley to give a natural barley flavour. Balancing the exact proportions of triple distilled Pot Still Whiskeys and then triple distilled Grain Whiskeys to deliver exceptional smoothness. Balance the sweet, nutty flavour from Sherry casks with the toasted wood and vanilla notes from Bourbon casks.
Glenmorangie 10 Year Old Original Single Highland Malt Whisky
70cl/40% The original expression of there elegant, floral spirit and the real backbone of the Glenmorangie range. A ten-year-old single malt, Glenmorangie Original is produced by marrying the delicate spirit that emerges from Scotland's tallest stills, with first and second fill American white oak casks. Aroma. The scent of citrus and ripening peaches is softened by the aroma of vanilla. Taste: First, vanilla is detected on the tongue before it ripples along the palate bringing a burst of flowery fruitiness. Finish: About a minute after tasting, you are left with a clean and salving aftertaste with hints of orange and peach. Colour: Pale lemony gold

Ardbeg 10 Year Old Single Islay Malt Whisky
70cl/46% Ardbeg Ten Years Old is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat; rather it gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt to produce a whisky of perfect balance. Typically most whiskies are chill-filtered and reduced to a strength of 40% ABV. Ardbeg Ten Years Old, however, is non chill-filtered and has a strength of 46% ABV, thus retaining maximum flavour, at the same time giving more body and added depth. Itâ€™s whisky with none of the goodness taken out! Aroma - A burst of intense smoky fruit escapes into the atmosphere â€“ peat infused with zesty lemon and lime, wrapped in waxy dark chocolate. Bold menthol and black pepper slice through the sweet smoke followed by tarry ropes and graphite. As you dip your nose in further, savour the aroma of smoked fish and crispy bacon alongside green bell peppers, baked pineapple and pear juice. Add water and breathe in the vortex of aromas rising from the glass. An oceanic minerality brings a breath of cool, briny seaspray on chalky cliffs. Waxed lemon and lime follows with coal tar soap, beeswax and herby pine woodlands. Toasted vanilla and sizzling cinnamon simmer in the background with warm hazelnut and almond toffee. Taste - An explosion of crackling peat sets off millions of flavour explosions on the tongue: peat effervesces with tangy lemon and lime juice, black pepper pops with sizzling cinnamon-spiced toffee. This is followed by a wave of brine infused with smooth buttermilk, ripe bananas and currants. Smoke gradually wells up on the palate bringing a mouthful of warm creamy cappuccino and toasted marshmallows. As the taste lengthens and deepens, dry espresso, liquorice root and tarry smoke develop coating the palate with chewy peat oils. Finish - The finish goes on and on â€“ long and smoky with tarry espresso, aniseed, toasted almonds and traces of soft barley and fresh pear.
Macallan 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Single Speyside Malt Whisky
70cl/40% The Macallan Sherry Oak is exclusively matured for a minimum of 10 years in Spanish oak casks, handcrafted and sherry seasoned in Jerez, Spain. This delivers a classic Macallan style, wonderfully rich in colour with dried fruits, spice and chocolate orange. Colour - pale gold. Nose - a hint of sweet toffee balanced with dried fruits and sherry. Palate - smooth, with dried fruits, sherry sweetness and wood smoke. Finish - dried fruits, with sweet toffee and a hint of wood spice.

Aberlour A'bunadh Batch 58 Single Speyside Malt Whisky
70cl/61.1% Aâ€™bunadh, Gaelic for â€˜of the originâ€™, is matured exclusively in Oloroso ex-sherry butts. It is a natural cask-strength malt whisky produced without the use of modern-day chill filtering methods or the addition of water. Colour - Deep, rich amber. Nose - Aromas of mixed spices, praline and spiced orange harmonising with rich, deep notes of Oloroso sherry. Palate - Orange, black cherries, dried fruit and ginger spiked with dark bitter chocolate and enriched with sherry and oak. Full bodied and creamy. Finish - Robust and intense with bitter-sweet notes of exotic spices, dark chocolate and oak.

Inchmurrin 18 Year Old Island Collection Single Highland Malt Whisky
70cl/46% Inchmurrin Whisky is distilled in the unique stills that give the whisky its light floral and grassy notes. As whisky has been aged in wood for 18 years it brings out sweeter more woody notes from the character of the casks. During that period Tommy Wallace was their master cooper, he was responsible for selecting the best casks in which to lay down this wonderfully characterful liquid.
Penderyn Madeira Single Malt Whisky
70cl/46% This single malt Welsh whisky defines their â€˜house style of whiskiesâ€™ being distilled in their unique copper pot still, matured in bourbon barrels, finished in rich Madeira wine casks and bottled at premium strength. This single malt whisky is smooth, light in character and softly golden in colour. At premium strength (46% vol) Penderyn single malt whisky has an exceptionally balanced taste with an aroma of cream toffee and fleetingly of fresh new leather. Talisker 10 Year Old Single Island Malt Whisky
70cl/45.8% Tasting Note APPEARANCE - Brilliant gold NOSE - Powerful peat-smoke with just a hint of sea-water saltiness, fresh oysters, and a citrus sweetness. BODY - Full. PALATE - A rich dried-fruit sweetness with clouds of smoke and strong barley-malt flavours, warming and intense. Peppery at the back of the mouth. FINISH - Huge, long, warming and peppery in the finish with an appetising sweetness.
